(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- With the Hobby Stocks and IMCA Mods crowning their champions a week ago, four more division champions were crowned on Saturday night during the regular season finale at Merced Speedway.
The 2019 IMCA Sport Mod Champion is Fred Ryland. Ryland take the title over Kelly Wilkinson, 2019 Rookie of the Year Guy Ahlwardt, Patti Ryland and Nick Tucker. During the division’s final race of the year on Saturday Kevin Johnson bested the field of 23 to grab the win over Tanner Thomas, Chase Thomas, Kelly Wilkinson, and Patti Ryland.
Lee Ragsdale was crowned the 2019 Mini Stock Champion on Saturday night as he beat out Lucy Falkenberg, Jennifer Rodgers, 2019 Rookie of the Year, Tyler Post, and Shawn Depriest. In the final race of the year on Saturday, Dakota Keldsen grabbed the win over the 14 car field.
Winning the Mini Late Model Title was Timmy Crews ahead of Logan Clay, Carson Guthrie, Riley Jeppesen, and 2019 Rookie of the Year, Kaylin Lopez. Crews capped his Championship season by winning the Saturday night feature event.
Capping the 2019 Champions at Merced Speedway is Rick Elliot who is the Valley Sportsman Titlist. Elliot was chased to the season long finish line by Jerry Cecil, Mike Friesen, Dwayne Short, and Jeff West. Chris Birdsong picked up the final points paying feature event of the season.
With points all wrapped up for the year, one event remains on the schedule and that is the 2019 John Fore Dirt Nationals taking place on October 25th and 26th. For more information on the event click over the our website.
