(PETERSEN MEDIA- Merced, CA)- Continuing to offer up a variety of racing action at Merced Speedway, Scott Kinney led the way on Saturday night with the BCRA Midget Lites as he shared victory lane with Shannon Nelson, Timothy Crews, and Jerry Cecil.
Kinney who won the series’ opening event back in March, adapted to the new Merced Speedway nicely and grabbed the win over Jimmy Riddell, Chase Gaal, Dakota Albright, and Jacob Williams.
16 Hobby Stocks were back in action, and Shannon Nelson grabbed the win one week removed from a second place finish. Chasing Nelson across the line was Raul Rodriguez, Sr, Domossie Scoggins, Mike Germait, and Michael Shearer.
A light Valley Sportsman Showing was still a great race as Jerry Cecil picked up the win over Rick Elliot, and Chris Corder who rounded out the podium.
A thrilling Mini Late Model feature event would go to Timothy Crews. Crews was able to fend off second finishing Bruce Nelson, Logan Clay, Kaylin Lopez, and Carson Guthrie.
This week, fans will be treated to an 2 exciting nights of Malicious Monster Truck pres. by Freitas Auto Wreckers action on Friday and Sunday, and sandwiched in between on Saturday will be the IMCA Mods, Hobby Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Valley Sportsman.
Saturday night the pit gates will open at 2PM with the draw closing promptly at 5pm.
The main grandstands will open at 5pm Saturday with tickets available to adults for $12, Seniors $10, Kids 6-12 just $5, while those 5 and under will be admitted at no charge.
Friday and Sunday for Monster Truck action, Adults will be admitted for $20, those 2-12 will be $10, and our infant fans will be admitted at no charge.
Friday night the gates will open at 430pm, the pit party is slated to kick off at 5, and the show will get underway at 7pm.
Sunday afternoon the gates open at 1130am, the pit party gets underway at Noon, and the show starts at 2pm.
